Motorcyclist critically injured in Otago crashCHRISTEL YARDLEY/FAIRFAX NZ A 26-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash on State Highway 1, between Palmerston and Moeraki, on Saturday afternoon. A man has been charged after allegedly driving across the centreline and critically injuring a motorcyclist travelling the other way. The crash happened on State Highway 1, near the Shag Point turnoff between Palmerston and Moeraki, about 4.30pm on Saturday. A police spokeswoman said a 42-year-old man had been charged with a serious driving offence and would appear in the Dunedin District Court on Tuesday.
