Round Lake Beach police officers and Round Lake Fire Protection District firefighters and paramedics responded about 2:35 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 to a report of an SUV crash with a motorcycle at Cedar Lake Road and Ferndale Drive in Round Lake Beach. The Round Lake Beach Police Department and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating the crash. The Speed Limit on Cedar Lake Road is 30 MPH, according to Google Maps Street View images captured November 2022. Cedar Lake Road is downhill in the northbound lanes, and there is a crest just south of the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Ferndale Drive. After the crash, both the SUV and the motorcycle were located near the southeast corner of the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Ferndale Drive.
