(Photo: Nujaree Raekrun)NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: Police on Monday arrested the alleged leader of a motorcycle theft gang and seized 16 bikes reported stolen in three districts of this southern province. Pol Col Sompong Thip-apakul, the Thung Song police chief, said Udomchai Sukyoi, alias Sua Om, was taken into custody at a hotel in tambon Chamai. Arresting officers found a number of motorcycle registration books in his possession,along with drug-use paraphernalia. Gang members had left them as collateral when he advanced them 500-800 baht against the resale value of the bikes.
