The paint spill, pictured days after it splattered on to the road, poses a risk, says a motorcycle safety group. A motorcycle safety group is urging officials to reconsider their decision to not remove a long streak of yellow paint from a busy Palmerston North commuter route. The paint is splattered along a 4-kilometre stretch of Tremaine Ave, between North and Kaimanawa streets. New Zealand Motorcycle Safety Consultants chief executive Allan Kirk said the decision showed the council was paying lip service to road safety. “The longer they don't do anything the more at-risk they place Palmerston North motorcyclists.”
