A motorcade carrying the Head of the UN-proposed government’s Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sirraj, has been targeted by heavy gunfire on the freeway near Guest Palaces in Tripoli this afternoon. Al-Sirraj was not alone in the motorcade. The media office of the High Council of State (HCS) said, following the incident, that Abdelrahamn Al-Sweihli, the Head of the HCS and the Chief of the Presidential Guard, Najmi Al-Nakoa, were accompanying Al-Sirraj. Two guards were injured in the gunfire barrage, the media office added.
