MIRI: Housewife Chai Chok Ling adopted Bernard Wong as her son when he was a baby 18 years ago. Chai had tried many years to get citizenship for Bernard but her attempts to get the document woes solved with the Miri National Registration Department were fruitless. Last year Chai approached Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin for help. Yesterday, Lee conveyed to Chai and Bernard that the citizenship letter for Bernard was ready. He said he had forwarded 31 such cases of document woes to Zahid.
