A woman from Battersea, Ont., and her six-year-old son died in a crash north of Kingston, Ont., on Wednesday evening, OPP say. Brenda Trautrimas, 37, and her six-year-old son Owen Trautrimas, who were in the minivan, were both pronounced dead at the scene, OPP said in a news release issued Thursday. A second young child in the van was extricated by firefighters and was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. OPP collision investigators are handling the case.
