Mother-of-two who ploughed van into a house and killed woman is guilty of death by dangerous driving

A banned motorist who drove a van into the front a house killing an elderly woman as she sat in her sitting room was today found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. Tracy Bibby, 35, was ‘pretending to be a racing driver’ when she slammed a Ford Transit into Joan Woodier’s home in April last year after driving home from a pub, a court heard. She claims that she and Ben swapped places before they drove away from the pub. However, CCTV footage captured her getting into the van on the driver’s side. She denied causing death by dangerous driving but was found guilty after a 10-day trial at Bristol Crown Court.
