The mother of a five-year-old boy beaten to death by her boyfriend is expected to be allowed to stay in Britain despite her fears that she could be removed from the country. Liliya Breha, who has lived in the UK for 12 years, believed that she could be sent back to Ukraine in July because she no longer has a British dependent. The 30-year-old Ukrainian was given leave to remain for ten years in 2016. The leave has to be renewed every two and a half years and can lead to eventual settlement in Britain.
