Travel experts at My Baggage, a luggage shipping service, have named eight of the most unusual traditions from countries like Ecuador, Japan and Denmark. To banish any ill-fortune or bad things that have happened over the last 12 months, Ecuadorians set fire to scarecrows filled with paper at midnight on New Year’s Eve. "Nevertheless, to encourage people to look forward to 2021, we thought it’d fun to take a look at the New Year’s traditions and customs of people across the world. "Throwing old furniture out of the windows could be just the stress relief needed after this crazy year."
