In October, Nike honoured Eliud Kipchoge with a statue at its headquarters in Oregon, United States for his outstanding achievements throughout his career. Thank you, Nike, for the great partnership, together we run as one,” Kipchoge stated ahead of the statue’s unveiling. Nike also honored his legacy by naming a running track at its European Headquarters in the Netherlands after him. Kipchoge became the first athlete to run a marathon in under two hours in October 2019 in Vienna, Austria. Meanwhile, all eyes are set on the 2024 Paris Olympics where he is expected to take on Kelvin Kiptum.
