Moses Kuria has resigned from being a member of the Energy committee and picked Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro to replace him. Kuria was elected unopposed in his constituency and appointed to the Energy Committee on August 28, 2014. The Gatundu South MP sent a letter on his decision to majority whip Katoo Metito on Tuesday. Mbeere South MP Mutava Musymi retained his chairman post and both Cord and Jubilee brought in 14 members. Kuria said Mung'aro should take over from him in the Energy and Information Communication Technology Committee as he is "capable".
