A humanitarian convoy consisting of 13 trucks (12 tankers and a repair and tool vehicle) departed from Tanger-Med on Nov 16, and was sent to flood-stricken Valencia, Spanish news agency EFE reported. It was the second assistance convey sent by Morocco to Valencia. It included 25 truck vacuum pumps and 70 rescuers and 34 Moroccan volunteers who were mobilized to provide logistical and humanitarian assistance. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez thanked Morocco for its solidarity and quick response. The recent floods in Valencia have resulted in over 200 deaths, numerous casualties, and extensive damage to infrastructure, transforming roads into rivers and leaving many areas without basic services.
