Morocco’s police arrested, on Sunday at Tangier Ibn Batouta Airport, a foreign national, subject of an international arrest warrant issued by German judicial authorities, for alleged international drug trafficking. The suspect, aged 27, was arrested immediately after arriving onboard a flight from Istanbul airport in Turkey, a security source said. The suspect was the subject of a red notice issued at by German judicial authorities for his alleged involvement in a criminal gang trafficking cocaine, heroin, cannabis resin, and psychotropic drugs between Germany and the Netherlands. The individual was placed in police custody pending the notification of German authorities of his arrest and completion of the extradition procedure. A checking of the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) revealed that he was on red notice, issued at the request of the French judicial authorities.
