Morocco will take part in the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union due in Addis Ababa Feb.10-11 with a delegation led by Head of Govt Saâd Eddine El Othmani. The summit meeting will be held under the theme: “The Year of Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons: Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa”. The summiteers will discuss several issues related to climate change, displaced persons, conflicts resolution and migration in the continent. The African Heads of State will look into African innovative mechanisms to address the underlying causes of migrations, notably natural disasters and extreme weather events. The increasing frequency of droughts, floods, and other extreme weather events means that migration is expected to grow further.
