Morocco, Republic of Congo Sign 14 Cooperation Agreements

Morocco and the Republic of the Congo signed 14 cooperation agreements during a ceremony in Brazzaville chaired by King Mohammed VI and Congo’s President Denis Sassou N’Guesso. The agreements, signed after the two Heads of State held tête-à-tête talks, provide for creating propitious conditions for investors from both countries to carry out joint projects and preventing tax evasion. The agreements also include fisheries and aquaculture as well as the construction of a landing site in the Republic of the Congo. Morocco also promised to help Congo in the fields of agriculture, education, logistics, health training, energy, tourism, mining, and vocational training. The landing point, to be ready in two years, will help develop the fisheries sector in the country and improve the living conditions of local fishermen.
