Morocco has recently added China’s guided MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) to its arsenal in a bid to bolster its ground to air deterrence capabilities. Morocco has acquired four batteries of the long-range Chinese missile system, local media reported. Each battery of this advanced artillery system is equipped with 6 launchers for 400mm rockets. Each rocket can be equipped with various warheads, including anti-personnel, anti-armor or fuel air explosive. Morocco and Egypt are among the few countries to have bought such a system with high strategic value.
