Morocco and China have discussed at a meeting in Beijing earlier this week their cooperation in nuclear safety, in a step towards bolstering international nuclear safety standards. The agreement aims to enhance bilateral collaboration in nuclear safety and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise between Morocco and China. On his part, Dong reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Morocco’s efforts in strengthening nuclear safety. The event that brought together representatives from Brazil, Hungary, Japan, Jordan, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Russia, Thailand and Tajikistan, discussed means of strengthening cooperation between the Collaborating Centers in the field of nuclear safety. Mouline, who is also Chairman of the Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN), underlined the key role these institutions play in strengthening nuclear safety on the African continent and at the international scale.
