King Mohammed VI was represented at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Guinea, General Mamadi Doumbouya, held this Saturday in Conakry, by Lower House Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami. At the ceremony, held at Lansana-Conté Stadium, General Mamadi Doumbouya took the oath of office as President of Guinea for a new seven-year term, in the presence of several heads of state and government, presidents of institutions, as well as representatives of international organizations and foreign delegations. King Mohammed VI had sent a message of congratulations to General Mamadi Doumbouya on his election to the highest office of Guinea, wherein he voiced Morocco’s resolve to consolidate partnership with Guinea. In this message, the King emphasized that Morocco attaches particular importance to strengthening the historic bonds of fraternal friendship and solidarity-based cooperation that unite it with Guinea, and voiced his readiness to act in concert with Doumbouya to consolidate the scope of Moroccan-Guinean partnership and to work towards shared African prosperity.
