At about the same time, another crash on the southwestern motorway left the southbound middle lane blocked near the Hillsborough Rd off-ramp. It was cleared within 30 minutes but left significant congestion all the way back to the Waterview tunnel. Earlier in the morning, a 6am crash on Alfriston Rd in Manurewa blocked traffic and caused significant congestion.
