More than 1.5 million Kiwis are expected to try their luck for the record prize on Saturday night. Lotto NZ spokeswoman Kirsten Robinson said history will be made during the 8pm draw. Not only was the $22.2 million ticket sold there through MyLotto, but a $14.3 million win went to a ticket purchased at the Countdown supermarket in 2014. This year, two Powerball winners came from Dunedin and the remainder from Ashburton, Ohakune, Tauranga, Timaru, Hamilton and Kawhia.
