More than 155,000 Zambales residents get COVID-19 vaccine


SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – A total of 155,183 or 37.57 percent of the eligible population of this province were vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Saturday. The latest data from the provincial health office showed that 72,400 residents are now fully vaccinated while 82,783 already received the first dose of the vaccine. ADVERTISEMENTThe vaccine recipients are residents under the A1 to A5 category or health workers, senior citizens, persons with comorbidity, essential workers, and indigents in the province. The vaccinees received doses of the Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Pfizer, and the single-dose Janssen vaccine. The province needs to vaccinate 413,000 residents or 70 percent of 590,800 population to achieve herd immunity.
