There have been more than 10,000 requests have been made to the Covid-19 helpline from people living in Otago. Otago Civil Defence and Emergency Management group controller Richard Saunders told The South Today the vast majority of those calls had come from the Queenstown Lakes which is the area hardest hit by the pandemic and lockdown rules.
