Royal New Zealand Navy ships Canterbury and Wellington are due to reach Kaikoura this morning. More than three tonnes of water was flown in to Kaikoura yesterday. Kaikoura Mayor Winston Gray said it would be at least Saturday before the inland road from the town to Hanmer would reopen.
