CoreLogic figures, based on values of all the city’s homes over three months rather than sales prices, put Christchurch’s average house value at $564,000, up 10.2 per cent in a year. Selwyn district ($660,000) and Waimakariri district ($540,000) also both recorded median price highs during the month, according to the institute. The national median price was $780,000, also a record.
