Sunil Kumar has called for focussed research on local crops and varieties. 2,400 crore for research, extension and administration in agricultural sector. The growth rate in agricultural sector reflects the well-being of society and hence it has to show a healthy trend. Yet the growth rate in the sector last year is minus four. The Minister visited various research plots and labs as well.
