Met Éireann has issued two status yellow weather warnings for five counties with more heavy rain on the way. "Spells of heavy rain" will lead to localised flooding, poor visibility, and hazardous travelling conditions in the five affected counties, the forecaster warned. More generally, Met Éireann said that Sunday's weather will become "windier through the day, and the rain will turn heavier for southern and western counties with spot flooding possible later". Monday night will see "long clear spells" leaving a cold and dry night, with temperatures falling to lows of 0C to 4C. Met Éireann said the upcoming week will see high pressure becoming more dominant, bringing dry and bright conditions overall.
