President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto have been urged to allocate more funds to support technical training institutions. Former Bumula MP Bonface Otsiula has said that more youths are choosing science and technical courses. ‘We have an unemployment crisis and technical institutions can offer courses empowering youths to create their own jobs," he said. Otsiula said some developed countries have adopted technical courses and reduced unemployment. He asked Education CS George Magoha to elevate Sangalo Agriculture Institute in Bungoma to a technical university.
