Hot on the heels of ex-cyclone Debbie is the newly formed Cyclone Cook, and it could bring more flooding to New Zealand. Cyclone Cook is today tracking from southern parts of Vanuatu and towards New Caledonia, bringing damaging winds and torrential rain. New Caledonia was expected to be hit by Cook as a category three cyclone, Weather Watch head analyst Philip Duncan said. The island will be directly hit by Cook later on Monday and into Tuesday before the cyclone turns towards New Zealand. More flooding rains were possible next week in New Zealand, especially towards Thursday and Good Friday, Duncan said.
