More density in midtown, downtown the right move

Small local residents’ associations (RA’s) have, for decades, disproportionately stifled Toronto’s growth by demanding special treatment. As other staff in councillors’ offices over the years can attest, RA members threaten councillors, insisting no change should ever happen near them. I’m actually now glad Toronto Council was reduced in size, because those threats are now diluted. Until this week, that seemed likely for Eglinton Avenue and the Crosstown LRT, a multi billion taxpayer-funded investment which needs to be maximized.
