Motorists heading through to Central Otago should expect more delays as work on the Beaumont Bridge continues. The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) said this week the Beaumont Bridge on SH8, between Alexandra and Milton, will be worked on and drivers should expect up to 15 minutes of delays. The delays should be expected from 7pm to 6am from last night through until Saturday morning, the NZTA said. This adds to the delays that have already impacted drivers of SH8 following last week's flooding in Roxburgh. However, a Central Otago District Council spokeswoman said SH8 through Roxburgh would be reopened from 6pm this evening.
