More charges for man accused of indecent act

Five additional charges have been laid against a man allegedly seen performing an indecent act around Queenstown walking tracks. The man, in his 20s, was arrested on Queenstown Hill on Sunday night after a member of the public called police. He was charged with wilfully committing an indecent act in a public place, which carries a maximum sentence of two years' imprisonment. Following an appearance in the Queenstown District Court on Monday, the man was granted interim name suppression and remanded on bail without plea until April 19. The man's bail conditions included not to go within 50m of the Queenstown Hill walking track.
