More arrests likely in record meth seizure

National organised crime manager Detective Superintendent Virginia Le Bas this afternoon confirmed that further arrests could be made. "The investigation team is now evaluating the information and assessing its relevance," said Ms Le Bas. "More than 20 detectives are working on the operation, with support from staff in Kaitaia and the wider Northland area," Ms Le Bas said. Ms Le Bas said anyone with information could contact their local police or, if they wanted to remain anonymous, they could call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. More people may be arrested as a team of more than 20 detectives continue to investigate a record methamphetamine bust in the Far North.
