KUANTAN: Residents' Representative Committees (JPP) members have to play a more active role in helping to setup MyBomba JPP unit in their zones so that the team can get into action immediately in times of emergency. He said the Fire and Rescue Department will provide the necessary assistance and training to ensure the MyBombaJPP volunteer firemen are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills when facing an emergency situation. "The presence of such units will be vital especially at flat units and areas which are congested. He was speaking to reporters after accompanying Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob to hand over the appointment letters for state-level JPP members for the 2017/19 term. "There is still shortage of full-fledged firemen and the presence of such volunteer teams will be able to provide some assistance," he said.
