In just one of the many thousands of ripples from the Brexit tsunami, a little-publicized survey has found that some two-thirds of E.U. businesses are planning to move their supply chain away from the U.K. - a sharp increase from 44% just six months earlier. "British businesses simply cannot put their suppliers and customers on hold while the negotiators get their act together." In further findings from the CIPS survey:50% of U.K. businesses are ever-less confident the two sides will reach a deal that ensures "free and frictionless trade;"35% of U.K. businesses feel they aren't in a position to be prepared given the failure of the negotiators to progress on defining a post-Brexit trade relationship;20% of U.K. businesses supplied by the E.U. Analysts believe that the U.K. must make progress in coming days on the three central issues confounding negotiators - Britain's payments to the E.U., resolution of what will happen to the millions of E.U.
