Environment Canada has issued a flash freeze warning for the Montreal area, as temperatures are forecast to fall by more than 10 degrees by tomorrow morning. Freezing rain fell on the Montreal region Monday and the early morning hours Tuesday before switching to rain. Montgomery pointed out that there are many public institutions — 65 schools and four hospitals — in the borough, which have to be prioritized. Montreal's public transportation agency, the STM, is warning that riders should expect bus delays due to the difficult road conditions.
