One of the victims, a 12-year-old blind girl, is said to have been defiled by her father in Mombasa. The girls’ close relatives say they were turned away by different rescue centres due to their disabilities and pregnancy. During a workshop on amplifying women voices in ICT at English Point Marina, Mombasa on Monday, Ms Juma urged leaders to put up a rescue centre for sexually abused disabled victims. Mr John Walubengo, a lecturer at Multimedia University, urged women to embrace ICT when fighting for such victims.
