PUTRAJAYA: A 36-year-old man was sentenced to 48 years in jail and 24 strokes of the rotan for sodomising, raping and sexually abusing his teenage daughter over 600 times over a period of two years. Clad in all white, the accused appeared calm when the judge meted out the sentence against him. According to the fact of the case, the accused had sexually assaulted his eldest daughter several times a day ever since she was 13-years-old. The accused continued to sodomise his daughter multiple times daily. The victim was also present during the trial to deliver her victim impact statement in closed-door proceedings.
