A brawl between two rival gangs involving weapons broke out during a funeral procession in Whakatane yesterday. "The disorder occurred during a funeral procession for Mongrel Mob member who died in Kawerau yesterday," police said in a statement. Police also received one report that a Black Power member was struck by a departing vehicle. The funeral procession was approximately 10-15 vehicles, police said in a statement. Police are investigating the disorder incident.
