Mongkolkit in hot water for no showThe National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has accused former Thai Civilized Party leader Mongkolkit Suksintharanon of an ethics violation for skipping a parliament meeting to take a group of technical college students to a film in 2021. The NACC decided during a recent meeting that Mr Mongkolkit be charged with severely violating ethical standards under Section 234 of the Constitution over the event. The NACC deemed Mr Mongkolkit's absence from the parliament meeting unnecessary and negligent. The charge came after political activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana submitted a complaint about Mr Mongkolkit's actions to the NACC. Responding to the NACC's move, Mr Mongkolkit said the agency had not sent him a warning about their accusation.
