Share:It has been revealed that in order to decide about the monetary policy, the Monetary Policy Committee of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will meet on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at SBP Karachi. As per the press release issued by the central bank, it has been announced that the Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Reza Baqir will give address a presser on the same day, following the MPC meeting. It is pertinent to note that the bank would probably keep the interest rate stagnant at 7pc, which has not been changed from past one year. However, in June 2020, the bank has lowered the interest rate by 1pc to 7pc.
