DHAKA, Jan 5, 2024 (BSS) - Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today expresseddeep shock and sorrow at the death of Ayesha Mahtab, mother of Professor DrMamun Al Mahtab (Shawpnil), head of Interventional Hepatology division ofBangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). In a condolence message, the foreign minister prayed for eternal peace of thedeparted soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family. Ayesha Mahtab died at her own residence at Banani here on Thursday afternoonat the age of 77. She left behind a daughter, a son and a host of relatives and well wishers tomourn her death. Her namaj-e-Janaza was held at the adjacent mosque of Banani graveyard afterEsha prayers on Thursday.
