Speaking during the International Women’s Day, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho said his county government will pay the woman’s hospital bill and have her relocated from Mworoto slums in Tudor to a decent house in Kisauni. The woman, a mother of two, was gang raped by two men as she was walking home from a funeral meeting in Kibarani on February 3. According family sources, the woman is currently recuperating at Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa but has been unable to settle the hospital bill which has shot to more than Sh2million.
