The then-Moises Padilla police chief Allan Reloj has already retired while the other five policemen have been ordered dismissed from the service. The checkpoint was an act of harassment arising from the intense political rivalry between the then-mayor Magdaleno "Magsie" Peña and then-vice mayor, now Mayor Yulo. The Napolcom order against the policemen is good news but other legal challenges face Mayor Yulo and her allies. Jose Joerito Amable (head of Mayor Peña's security group), Rusty Caminade (Moises Padilla Civil Defense Security officer) and councilor Hilario had been marked for liquidation. There have been at least five liquidations in Moises Padilla since July 2019.
