KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan beat Colombo FC 2-1 in the first-leg match of the preliminary round of the AFC Cup South Zone at the Race Course Ground in Colombo on Tuesday.Kean Lewis gave the green and maroons an early lead but Colombo FC striker Afeez Olayemi Olofin had managed to level matters. However, Sehnaj Singh ensured victory for the visitors with a fine strike in the second session.Bagan took the lead in the 13th minute off a counter attack. Darryl Duffy made a run down the right flank before brilliantly playing it forward for Prabir. The latter crossed it for Lewis to head home. Olofin made a brilliant run in the 22nd minute that caught the Bagan defence napping before Chalana Chammera forced Shilton into an acrobatic save with a rasping drive from outside the box.And, Colombo FC were back on level terms in the 30th minute.
