Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho will now have a new battle following claims that he had influenced cheating and mischief in the ODM party primaries in Nyali constituency where his kin was declared winner. Nyali parliamentary seat aspirant, journalist Mohammed Ali has said he has evidence showing the governor’s family members moving around the constituency as they bribed voters to avoid voting for him. "The entire Joho family was walking around with cars, making sure that they are paying every single person to vote against me” said Ali. Mohammed Ali had quit his job to venture into politics on an ODM party ticket but has expressed frustration from the party as he could not secure the ticket. He refuted claims that he has personal differences with the governor saying they had differed and would not agree as a result of his influence and involvement in the primaries leading to what he termed as favouritism.
