These two words best describe the condition of Ward No 5, which encompasses parts of Phase 1 and Phase II. One of the most untidy localities of Mohali with very little traffic discipline, this ward is marked by vehicles parked all along the roadsides with little consideration for residents. No wonder petty fights over wrongly parked vehicles are so commonplace here. The grass is brown and the flower beds are home to wild grass, making most of the parks look unkempt and unwelcoming. As if the dilapidated khokhas weren’t enough, there is a garbage dumping site behind them, which makes the area look decidedly grubby.
