Modest gains for NetEase in HK dual listing debut

Shares in Chinese online video gaming company NetEase finished the session at HK$130 today, up by 5.69 percent, following a promising debut for its secondary listing in Hong Kong. The stock opened at HK$134.80 at 9:30am and then fell to HK$132.80 five minutes later before bouncing to HK$134.20 at 9:40am. NetEase listed on the Nasdaq stock market in the US in 2000. Based on the ratio of 25 ordinary shares per Nasdaq-listed American depositary share, the offer price translates to about US$397 per ADS, the company said. The price was set taking into account the closing price of the ADSs on June 4, the latest trading day before pricing.
