A model has said the arrest of one of Jeffrey Epstein's friends on sex assault charges has given her hope for her own fight for justice against her alleged abuser. Responding to the charges, Ms Otis said: 'We are from an era where this behaviour was blatant. The announcement carries meaning for Ms Otis, who says she was raped by another figure in the modelling industry, Gérald Marie, when she was 17 years old and working in Paris. Now 52, Ms Otis works with a non-profit group called the Model Alliance, based in New York, campaigning for better rights for those in the industry. Following the announcement of charges against Brunel, Ms Otis pleaded for survivors of sexual assault to contact Model Alliance Support and share their story, saying that she had seen the 'beginnings of predators being held accountable'.
