MobiFone & Facebook launch Free Basics and Facebook FlexMobiFone cooperated with Facebook to officially launch Free Basics and Facebook Flex services in Hanoi on May 25. This is the first time customers in Vietnam will be able to approach Facebook services, including Free Basics and Facebook Flex, through their MobiFone account. Free Basics is a free portal that provides users with basic and useful information about social matters: sports, entertainment, education, transportation, employment, and healthcare, etc. With Facebook Flex, customers will have access to the shortened Facebook social network, follow friends’ news, and can comment, share, and, in particular, can send instant messages via Facebook Messenger for free on the MobiFone network. Deputy General Manager Mr. Bui Son Nam said that MobiFone, the first operator in Vietnam, has partnered with Facebook to bring these useful services to Vietnam.
